3+1/2 YEARS since THE LAST UPDATE!

ウエブサイトの更新は昨年末から再開して少しずつ進んでいるけれど、このブログに書き込むのは何と三年半ぶり。
今春は二月の末から三月中旬までカリフォルニア州とフロリダ州で撮影を行った。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大の心配される中、滑り込みセーフで渡米し、間一髪で無事帰国できたという綱渡りのタイミングだった。一週目はカリフォルニア州のジョシュア・ツリー国立公園からデス・バレー国立公園を周る撮影ワークショップを友人と催行。二週目は十年ぶりにフロリダ州のエバーグレーズとフロリダ・キーズを訪れ、三週目に再度カリフォルニアに戻り海岸線を撮影した。フロリダとカリフォルニアは今までに何度も訪れ、その漠然としたイメージを形にして何とか作品にしたいと思っていたが、いまひとつ満足いくものができていなかった。しかし、今回の旅ではそのイメージが現実の風景となって目の前に結像した。 ここに来てようやく裸眼でものを見ることができるようになったと感じた旅だった。好きな場所への旅は本来の素直な目を取り戻してくれる。

The update of this website had been resumed at the end of last year. This blog is the first post in almost three and a half years!
This year I traveled to the United States from the end of February to the middle of March to shoot in California and Florida. Fortunately, it was a split timing to be back in safe as we were concerned about the spread of Corvid-19. During the first week, we held a photography workshop  in California traveling from Joshua Tree National Park to Death Valley National Park. In the second week, I visited the Everglades and Florida Keys for the first time in ten years and returned to California again in the third week to photograph the West Coast.
While I was developing the large number of raw images shot during the trip, I felt strongly that this type of relaxed travel plan is a key condition to get satisfying artworks.
