Print Size: 30 in x 79 in / 77 cm x 200 cm 100% View
Starting this month, I will regularly introduce a recent work on the Home Page of this website. The panoramic work posted for this month was photographed in New Mexico, USA, on the High Road to Taos in June 2019. June is one of the most beautiful seasons in New Mexico with cotton-like clouds in the blue sky. I felt very happy being surrounded by the artworks created by the sunlight and dry air of the desert. Driving through the vast area of horizon made me feel like traveling through a tiny planet called the Eath. When trying to convey the impression of an original print on my website, The difference between traditional paper media and new media such as PCs, tablets and smartphones becomes an obstacle. Most of my works are large-format prints, so it is difficult to convey the impression due to the restrictions on the screen size and resolution of typical PCs. For example, the panoramic work just posted on the website today has a width of 2 m, but it becomes 20 to 30 cm on an average PC screen, and you cannot see the details. Since the size of TVs has increased significantly, TVs may become better media to convey the impression of such works, but still the quality of printing on paper media is overwhelmingly high. I will continue to demonstrate the value of printed photographic works through various exhibitions. Comments are closed.
