When I was in the 5th grade of elementary school, I was fascinated by the sound of the piccolo, played in a brass band, and started playing the flute after entering the middle school. However, when I started my college life abroad, I was unable to continue practicing the music instrument, and the flute ended up staying in the closet for a long time. Recently, I decided to devote my time to restart practicing the flute using the extra time generated by the pandemic. As I practice every day, I have now started to recognize subtle tonal differences for the first time since I started to play the instrument. It is the same feeling as recognizing subtle tonal differences in my photographic artworks as I keep repeating the creative process daily. It seems that music and photography works make progress, through daily practice, going back and forth in a spiral form. Comments are closed.
